In addition to handling complaints from citizens about public services in the country, Indonesia’s Ombudsman office in Bali has an additional function this year: to hear complaints from foreign nationals on the Island of Gods.

Ni Nyoman Sri Widhiyanti, the Head of the Bali Office of Indonesia’s Ombudsman, revealed that as of this year, the department will also hear complaints from foreign citizens via the Bali channel of the national public complaints digital platform, SP4N-LAPOR!.

“Because Bali is a bit different and perhaps there are many complaints from foreign citizens that need to be addressed. This is what we want to portray for 2023,” Ni Nyoman said yesterday in Denpasar.

Ni Nyoman did not mention specific cases that necessitated the launch of this new policy.

However, from visa policy changes to noise complaints to reckless behaviors, it is safe to say that this channel will have its use.

Currently, the complaint link offers an English translation powered by Google Translate.
