Police arrested a thief who had taken an affinity to snatching bags from drunk tourists in Kuta—yeah he had a pretty large pool to choose from.
After he was taken into Kuta Police custody, Sakti Susanto, admitted to hitting the tourist-central streets especially on Friday and Saturday.
“I stole a total of eight times, operating on Jl. Poppies II and II, Jl. Benesari, and Sunset Road,” the 28-year-old said on Thursday, as quoted by Tribun Bali.
Kuta Police Chief I Wayan Sumara says Sakti was caught on Jl. Benesari when one of his victims pursued him.
Police found several foreign currencies at Sakti’s boarding house and different phone chargers, which they have secured as evidence.
