A sex tape, allegedly between a Balinese woman and an unidentified man, went viral recently with the police confirming today that they have launched an investigation with the aim of arresting the perpetrators.

Earlier reports said that the viral clip involves teenagers, but Bali Police Cyber Crimes Unit Chief Nanang Prihasmoko confirmed today that the woman in the video is at least 20 years old.

Nanang said that the police have identified the woman and will arrest her soon, while the man’s identity is still unknown.

She is also not a student, Nanang added, as reported previously.

“We haven’t found the man. Once [they are arrested], we will inform you,” he said.

Nanang added that the Bali Police are still trying to determine who uploaded the video in the first place.

In the video, the Balinese woman is seen wearing a traditional bracelet called tridatu, which is believed to bestow protection to the wearer. She initially refused to be recorded.

Reports say that the clip was taken at a guest house in Denpasar.

Under Indonesian law, producing pornographic content is a crime punishable by up to six years in prison.
