The search is finally over for a teenager who went missing from Mt. Agung over two weeks ago—but this story does not have the happy reunion ending we had all hoped for.
After being missing for 16 days, 15-year-old I Wayan Putu Sri Adiguna was found dead on the slopes of Mt. Agung on Sunday at 12 pm, reports Tribun Bali.
The 15 year old was reportedly found hanging from a tree, his body appeared blackened from hanging so long.
I Made Sutama of Besakih Rendang Police confirmed the incident to Tribun Bali, explaining that Adiguna was found hanging with rope that is commonly used to bind grass.
Police reportedly say Adiguna solely died from suicide by hanging as there were no signs of violence.
Rendang Police Chief Ketut Suartika Adnyana explained that the boy’s body was discovered from the odor in the area.
