Teen arrested in East Bali for stealing uncle’s gold

An 18 year old did not resist when arrested in Karangasem, Bali on Tuesday.

I Kadek Agus Yuda from Talibeng Village was taken into custody for stealing his own uncle’s gold.

In addition to Yuda, police arrested two other friends of the teen who participated in the theft from I Wayan Putra, 49, according to Tribun Bali

The two other alleged thieves were reported as I Kadek Sumerta, 18, and I Kadek Astawa, 30.

AA Ngurah Agung from the police says the three young men acted at midnight, and forced a window open to the house.

However, Putra was apparently the wiser as he suspected his nephew and immediately went to the police to bring them to his nephew’s house—though reports didn’t clarify how exactly Putra knew who it was.

When questioned, Yuda reportedly admitted to his crime and even gave up his two friends, who were then later arrested as well.

Police have confiscated evidence in the form of a 40-gram gold bracelet, a 10-gram gold necklace, and a five-gram pair of gold earrings, according to Tribun.
