Indonesian celebrity Tamara Bleszynski says she’s afraid to live in Bali after she was allegedly harassed in Canggu.
Bleszynski spoke before Denpasar District Court during the trial of her alleged abuser, Wayan Sobrat.
“Every day I’m being followed, threatened. Even my children, who are still small, they are also terrorized. I’ve felt uncomfortable since the incident. I was pursued and grabbed,” Bleszynski said in court on Tuesday, as quoted by VIVA News.
Bleszynski first made the claim against Sobrat in April, posting about the alleged hair grab incident on social media.
But things got sticky when stories starting coming out that they apparently knew each other personally before the alleged incident and it was not really all about Canggu’s general level of safety, as Bleszynski had originally claimed in her social media posts.
“I really was so stressed at that time. Fear was hanging over me. When he followed me outside, he continued to chase me and told me I’ll be subject to karma. That’s all I heard,” Bleszynski said.
Sobrat denied grabbing Bleszynski by the hair.
His defense attorney, Iswahyudi, backed him up, telling the court that Bleszynski’s story reads like an Indonesian sinetron (soap opera).
“Previously, you were a soap opera actress, yes. Playing the characters, you are already accustomed to acting,” the attorney argued.
