The acting regent of Tabanan, Wayan Sugiada, says he’s noticed a lack of work discipline amongst employees in his Bali regency.
Sugiada’s comments came out after he visited several Tabanan government offices on Thursday including the Regional Planning & Development Agency (Bappeda), Reveune, Local Staffing Agency, and the Education Department of Youth & Sports, according to Tribun Bali.
The regent says he was shocked when the offices seemed deserted during working hours.
Apparently he’s never heard of jam karet?
Sugiada reportedly was not shy about reprimanding the employees, asking them what time it was and telling them they lacked discipline.
He says he made in-person visits to all these offices to offer motivation for his employees across agencies and hopes the employees can make a clean start.
To re-establish diligence amongst Tabanan regency employees, Sugiada says he’ll tighten things up with the heads of the different departments, offices, and other officials.
