Suspected lady kingpin arrested in Denpasar, loads of drugs and ammunition uncovered in raid

Police arrested a woman they suspect is drug kingpin, in Denpasar on Saturday.

Denpasar Police’s Criminal Investigation Unit raided a rented house on Jl. Gunung Salak, which allegedly had been used for drug transactions.

Denpasar Police Chief Commissioner Hadi Purnomo said the raid was organized based on reports from local residents that Jakarta-born woman MI, 41, had made the place a base for drug dealing.

While police found quite the haul of drugs, it wasn’t just drugs that turned up in the raid. They also found some guns and ammunition.

“In addition to drugs, our officers also secured a nice pistol, a long-barreled one, and a sort of soft gun,” Purnomo said on Monday, as quoted by Merdeka.

“During the raid, the suspect did not resist. We are still developing the case,” Purnomo concluded.
