‘Surfer Santas’ give lessons to Bali orphans in Kuta

Though Bali is a predominantly Hindu island, the Christmas spirit appears to be alive and well on the island as ‘Santa Claus’ was spotted in Kuta in the surf.

Instructors from a local surf school donned full Santa gear to teach orphans on Dec. 19.

The orphans, all boys between the ages of 8-15, were brought to Odyssey Surf School by Yayasan Tunas Bangsa orphanage, from Denpasar, according to EPA

The surf school apparently offers the free clinics every Christmas time so Santa can make an appearance and the school can give back to the community.
