The surf site and magazine Bali Belly put together footage from their webcams yesterday during Nyepi and the result is stunning.
While we all camped out inside yesterday, kept quiet, and shut off the lights for Nyepi, Bali’s “Day of Silence,” the island’s waves went on breaking.
Clips from Bali Belly’s cams in Canggu, Dreamland, Impossibles, Uluwatu and Keramas show empty waves and not a surfer in sight—something that just never happens in Bali except on Nyepi. Certainly a sight to behold.
