Weather has been rough AF in Jembrana, West Bali lately.
Whirlwinds wrought destruction upon homes across Perancak Village on Thursday, with at least four homes in Dusun Dangin Berawah being totally damaged, according to Antara Bali.
“The winds came so suddenly. Our family did not have time to run out of the house,” local resident I Putu Darmika told Antara.
The damages will be costly, with estimated losses in the tens of millions of rupiah, according to Perancak traditional village leader I Nyoman Wijana.
But thankfully he said that there were no fatalities caused by the extreme weather conditions.
Meanwhile in Banyubiru Village, Jembrana, an intense wave has totally leveled out warungs in Banjar Pebuahan.
“The most severe (conditions) were Wednesday afternoon. Around 1 pm local time, sea levels reached three to four meters. So the water came up inside really far,” local warung owner Hariyanto told Tribun Bali.
Yikes, let’s hope the weather settles down soon up there!
