A Facebook account apparently impersonating Bali’s governor is stirring up some controversy and does not cast him in the most positive of light.
The fake account for Governor Made Mangku Pastika touched on a couple of big issues, including the controversial reclamation of Benoa Bay and Nyepi.
Likely taking a dig at the common public perception that Pastika is behind the reclamation to sell Bali out, one status from the account read, “The reclamation will continue because I have already approved it and in gratuities, I have received a hefty Rp 500 billion for pension.”
In addition, another post from the account put down the Balinese Hindu holiday Nyepi. One of the statuses from the account said “Nyepi is a waste of time” and even concluded with a curse, saying “f*ck Hindu.”

We have a feeling Pastika is not going to take this sort of loss of face lying down.
The account was reported to Bali Police by Pastika’s son, Nyoman Wicaksana Wirajati on Friday (March 11), according to Tribun Bali.
A further report is being provided from the Cyber Crime Investigation unit of Bali Police.
