Once a year, something magical happens in Bali.

The Indonesian island celebrates the Balinese Hindu New Year, Nyepi.

The holiday is marked by a “Day of Silence,” where tradition holds that people in Bali stay inside, don’t make noise, and refrain from using electricity.

The result? A vivid, stunning, starry night sky.

If you weren’t there to unplug and chill out in Bali this Nyepi, not to fear. A ton of photographs of the gorgeous “sky full of stars” has been posted on social media from amateur and professional photographers alike.

Just. WOW.

Galaxy glory.
