“Sakitnya tuh disini” was all I Wayan Tunas could say at his wife’s infidelity while making a police report in Kintamani, Bali.
Translating to “it hurts here,” or rather “heartbroken,” Tunas’ words are taken from the famous Indonesian dangdut song by Cita Citata. Here’s some help if you didn’t get the reference, though you’ve probably heard this song in pasars, warungs, and taxis all over Bali.
Patting his chest with apparent tears in his eyes, Tunas, 40, recounted the affair between his wife Ni Komang W, 34, and Nengah Yasa, 35, reports Merdeka.
Tunas says he has long had suspicions that the two were having an affair, but he finally confirmed it when he caught them in the act after coming home from work in Denpasar. He opened the door and there his wife was in just her panties with Yasa who was naked, Tunas told police. Instead of confronting them, Tunas says he split as fast as lightning.
Serving as a great response for when you don’t have your own words while suffering heartbreak as Tunas did (though not necessarily romantic hearbreak), “Sakitnya tuh disini” has become the inspiration for quite a bit of memes that have gone viral in Indonesia.
