A foreign national, identified as YN from South Korea, was apprehended by the Rendang Police after she allegedly caused damages at Pura Goa Raja in Besakih. The incident, captured in a viral video on social media, showed YN damaging sacred artifacts like umbrellas, banners, and offerings within the temple premises.

The incident occurred yesterday at around 6pm. YN was apprehended earlier today at her homestay in Besakih without any reported resistance.

According to Rendang Police Chief I Made Suadnyana, YN admitted to the act and explained that she had felt compelled to do so due to what she claimed was a supernatural whisper urging her to visit Pura Goa Raja Besakih.

Police swiftly acted on the information, picking up Mrs. YN from her accommodation in Besakih, Rendang District. She was subsequently taken to the Rendang Police headquarters for questioning.

The investigation continues as authorities seek to understand the full scope of the incident and its implications. YN remains in custody while the legal process unfolds.

The local village reportedly already performed a cleansing ritual following the incident.
