Pack your scuba gear, because the scuba diving heaven of Bunkaken Marine Park in Sulawesi will soon be easier to access via a Garuda Indonesia flight from Bali.
Adding even more flights to Bali’s Ngurah Rai airport, Garuda just announced it will add a route from Denpasar to Manado, North Sulawesi, reports Rima News. This comes after the airline announced in October it will service direct flights from Bali to Dili, East Timor.
The direct flight will open in 2015, says Dedy Irawan, General Manager of Garuda Indonesia’s Manado Branch. The plan is to launch flights at the end of February, says Irawan.
The airline believes this move will give a boost to tourism in Manado. It’s not so far off, because we already started packing our bags.
