Seven-month pregnant woman in north Bali says husband beat her over argument

A seven-month pregnant woman in north Bali says her husband has been assaulting her.

Ni Kadek Surianti, 32, a resident of Buleleng, Bali reported her husband, Komang Prima Wira Utama, 25, to the police on Tuesday for beating her, reports Tribun Bali

The couple was allegedly having an argument in their home when Utama could not control himself and started beating her, Surianti told police.

Police allege that Utama kicked his pregnant wife, then hit her face and pulled on her shirt, tearing it. After that, he allegedly shoved her head and twisted her hand.

Tribun reports that Surianti was not strong enough to fight back and the house was empty so there were no witnesses to the alleged assault.

Police are reportedly still investigating the case before initiating any charges.
