Schapelle Corby’s ex-adviser stopped at Bali airport with bullets in baggage

A man who was once an adviser to Australia’s infamous Schapelle Corby has been detained at Bali’s airport after he was allegedly found to be carrying bullets.

Australian man Vasudevan Rasiah was stopped at Ngurah Rai Airport on Wednesday when security allegedly found six .32 calibre and five .22 calibre bullets.

The 64-year-old had been a consultant for Corby after her 2004 arrest after getting caught with 4.2 kilograms of cannabis in her boogie board bag, but they’ve apparently since had a falling out.

Rasiah is currently working as a property developer in Bali and had been on his way to Malaysia when he was allegedly found with the bullets.

“Up to now, he’s still being investigated to make sure whether there is a criminal element or not,” Denpasar Police Detective Chief Reinhard Habonaran Nainggolan said on Thursday, as quoted by AAP

“He’s not detained and has not been stated as a suspect yet.”
