Police in Kuta arrested a Russian woman in possession of methamphetamine, who claims she got her supply from an inmate at Bali’s notorious Kerobokan Prison.

“From her statement, she got the drugs from someone who is serving time at Kerobokan,” Denpasar Police Chief Commissioner Hadi Purnomo said on Sunday, as quoted by VIVA News.

The Russian, GNA, 29, said she would use the meth to help her get “inspired” and “focus” on her work as a designer.

“In her confession, she said she used the methamphetamine for her work designing clothes. When GNA was using meth, she says she would be more focused and have a lot more inspiration,” Purnomo told reporters.

GNA was arrested in possession of meth on Jl. Dewi Sri in Kuta after a tip-off.

The Russian claims to know eight foreign languages, says she’s lived in Bali for the past eight years, and has been using meth for the past year and a half.

Police say they are still investigating where the Russian got her supply from before handing her case over to prosecutors.
