A recent video capturing a heated altercation between two motorcyclists in Bali has sparked significant attention on social media. The viral footage reveals a clash between a rider on a big bike and the owner of a Kawasaki Ninja, bringing traffic to a standstill on the Denpasar-Gilimanuk road.

The incident took place at the Lukluk intersection in Mengwi on Saturday afternoon at about 3.30pm. The video, which has been widely circulated, shows the two riders engaged in a physical altercation, both still wearing their helmets.

According to witnesses, the dispute likely began when the Ninja overtook the Harley-Davidson, surprising the latter, who retaliated with a kick. The Ninja group then pursued the big bike rider, leading to further tensions and the eventual showdown at the Lukluk intersection.

The video does not provide a clear sequence of events, but it starts with the Harley-Davidson bike already tilted to the right, while the green Ninja is positioned beside it. The altercation escalates as both parties exchange blows, resulting in falls and rises. Despite efforts from fellow riders, bystanders, and officials to intervene, both riders remain steadfast in their dispute.

In a bid to mediate, officers from the Badung Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) joined the scene, but their attempts proved futile, leading to traffic congestion.

The situation took an unexpected turn when the owner of the Instagram account @dharmaisme shed light on the incident. According to him, the dispute arose from a misunderstanding during overtaking maneuvers. This revelation came as the Ninja owner, identified as Wayan Suandini, and the big bike rider, known as Putu Gede Sanata, met at the house of a big bike enthusiast named Ajik Guntur in Denpasar.

A video capturing the reconciliation between the two riders was subsequently shared on social media, providing a glimpse into their mutual agreement. The mediator emphasized that the incident was a result of a personal misunderstanding, not linked to any particular motorcycle club.

The situation serves as a reminder of the need for patience and respect on the roads.

Authorities have not received any formal police reports regarding the incident. Nonetheless, the video continues to circulate on social media, prompting discussions about road safety and conflict resolution.
