Qantas is going to make its direct Sydney-Bali flights a regular thing. That’s good news for those who can afford to make the trip to Bali without the services of budget airlines.
The Australian carrier will be offering the service on a year-round basis starting in March 2017, according to Australian Aviation.
After a seven-year absence from Bali, Qantas came back to Bali in 2015 with limited flights from Sydney. Now, apparently because of such success, the Sydney-Denpasar route will kick off four times a week after March 25.
“We’ve had a fantastic response to Qantas’ seasonal service, especially from our frequent flyers, so we felt the time was right to go year-round,” Australian Aviation quoted Qantas International chief executive Gareth Evans as saying.
Jetstar, which is the budget arm of Qantas, is the largest carrier connecting Bali and Australia, with about 60 flights per week.
Evans says having both Jetstar and Qantas in the lineup will offer travelers a wider menu of travel options to get to Bali.
“That’s important for a destination which caters to different budgets and tastes,” Evans stated.
