Puppies found fighting over baby’s corpse in west Bali

Residents of Pendem Village, Jembrana in western Bali were shocked and horrified yesterday to find the body of a baby being eaten by a group of puppies.

Tribun Bali is reporting that the body of the female infant was found around 7 pm yesterday evening near the home of local resident Ketut Windra, 60.

At that time, Windra told Tribun that he saw five puppies who he alleges belonged to a dong named Sari, fighting over food. But, when he took a closer look, he realized that the “food” was a baby’s corpse.

“The dogs were being noisy, when I saw five puppies fighting over a dead baby. Only remaining of the baby was the navel, up the feet. The rest, up to the head was not there,” Windra said.

Jembrana police are currently investigating the tragic matter further and looking into how exactly a baby wound up dead in the street in the first place.
