Political marriage: Couple decorates Bali wedding with anti-reclamation banner

Weddings are all about committing to the person you want to spend the rest of your life with, and to a cause for some activism-inclined couples out there.

A couple getting married in Bali has demonstrated their undying commitment to rejecting the controversial reclamation project of Benoa Bay by tying in the protest into their wedding.

Instead of the usual flowers, a protest banner for the Tolak Reklamasi campaign adorned the transport for bride and groom Ni Wayan Ketut Setiari and Ketut Kertayasa on Thursday.

“Yeah, indeed both of them have taken a stand against the reclamation. Hence, they both are reinforcing that attitude in their marraige,” Kadek Tila, one of the groom’s colleagues from the Sukawati Tolak Reklamasi Forum, told Tribun Bali

Now that’s a committed couple! In more ways than one!
