Police still working on determining young man’s killer at Denpasar dangdut concert

It’s been weeks since a 22-year-old man was reportedly killed at a dangdut concert in Denpasar, but police say they are still investigating the case.

West Denpasar Police has detained a number of people suspected of involvement in the September 5 death of Arik Rahmat Dani for questioning, but the investigation is still ongoing, according to Tribun Bali. Dani was killed after watching a dangdut concert on Jl. Mahendradata, Denpasar.

“It is true that there was an arrest. But it is still under development, we cannot provide details on the arrest,” Denpasar police detective told Tribun on Sunday.

But there’s still another person that police need to question, who allegedly had a hand in Dani’s death, Wardana says.

The detective added that there’s a strong suspicion that the alleged perpetrator(s) did not intend to kill the victim, but the brick and blade that Dani was attacked with proved to be fatal.
