Police make meth arrest in North Bali warung, perp tried to hide stuff in pants

Police seem to be cracking down harder than ever as we’ve been getting a continuous flow of reports citing drug busts.

The latest is an arrest made in Giri Mas village, Sawan, Buleleng, North Bali.

Wayan Dastra alias Brocong was caught by police on Monday afternoon for meth possession, reports Tribun Bali.

Police arrested the 40-year-old man while he was eating at a warung on Jl. Singaraja-Sangsit.

Made Agus Dwi Wirawan, head of the drug investigation unit, says local Sawan police tipped his unit off.

The meth was reportedly found in Brocong’s pants pocket—reports say the gram of meth was divided into five small packages, along with matches, a lighter, and two glass pipettes, which were stored in cigarette packs.

Wirawan says there’s no evidence yet of Brocong as a dealer at the moment.
