Two Japanese nationals were reportedly found dead, burnt on Monday in a house in Bali’s Jimbaran area.

The husband and wife were both aged 76 and had apparently been living in Puri Gading, a residential area in Jimbaran.

Police are investigating the couple’s death and were still working on a crime scene on Monday evening as of 5pm.

“If there was foul play, we cannot yet say,” Tribun Bali quoted an unidentified officer from Denpasar Police, as saying.

The fire was first known by a friend of the couple’s around 11:30 am today when a cloud of smoke coming from the second floor of the victims’ house could be seen.
