Police intercept 21 motorbikes being sent from Bali to Sumba without legit paperwork

South Denpasar Police stopped some motorbike smugglers in their tracks on Monday.

A total of 21 motorbikes were being sent to Sumba, East Nusa Tenggara from Jl. Mertasari Gang Bedulu II, reports Tribun Bali

South Denpasar Police Chief Nanang Prihasmoko says the motorbikes confiscated did not have legitimate paperwork.

“There were some without both STNK (vehicle registration) and BPKB (owner’s book), and there were others that only had the STNK,” he explained.

Police say they have brought the truck driver transporting the bikes, Oktavianus Kaha, 33, in for questioning and they are continuing to investigate the case.
