Platinum diamond ring stolen from Kuta Galeria mall, police on the hunt for Chinese tourists

Police are on the hunt for two tourists, believed to be Chinese, who allegedly stole a Tiffany & Co. platinum diamond ring from the Bali Galeria mall on Saturday.

The ring’s value is estimated at about Rp 135 million.

“We have also coordinated with immigration authorities to find the perpetrators,” Kuta Police Criminal Unit Insp. Ario Seno told Tribun Bali on Thursday.

Although police are equipped with the physical characteristics of the thieves, the identities of the two men are not yet known.

“The victim (Tiffany & Co.) claimed to not know the identity of the perpetrators because they were just guests who were looking at rings, at that time,” Seno said.

Police are still investigating the case.
