North Bali Police investigate illegal street racing youth who resisted arrest

Buleleng Police is after a group of youth known for illegal street racing in the city of Singaraja.

Police were reportedly met with resistance when they tried to break up such street racing as the youth involved threw rocks at them. Their police car was cracked on the front from all the commotion.

Two motorcycles abandoned at the scene were confiscated by police—who still don’t know who the owners are.

“The incident that happened on Jl. Sam Ratulangi, Kelurahan Penarukan, Singaraja is getting serious attention and will not be repeated in the future,” Buleleng Police Chief Wayan Kartika said on Tuesday, as quoted by Rima News

“We want to more clearly know about the motivation of the youths and anyone who was involved in it,” he added.
