North Bali farmer finds bullets and live ammunition when going to build cow shed

He had just planned on building a shed for his cows, but when he went to start, a farmer in Buleleng, Bali reportedly came across 20 bullets and live grenade.

It’s apparently not as random as it sounds. The bullets and ammunition were found in land that formerly housed Dutch buildings in Sumberklampok, Gerokgak, reports Tribun Bali

The farmer had started digging the soil when his hoe hit a hard object, which he realized was ammunition when he dug it out, a community leader in nearby Jatim, East Java told Tribun.

As he continued to dig, he kept finding more bullets, which were rusty, then he eventually called the police, the Jatim man said on Sunday.

He added that the land was once belonging to the Dutch.

Gergokgak police Alit Putra confirmed the finding of the ammunition with Tribun. According to the chief, upon examination, the ammunition was still active. Police are now coordinating with a bomb squad to investigate.
