The Denpasar Police has ruled out foul play in the death of an Italian man in Jimbaran yesterday.

GB, 52, reportedly began coughing in his residence in Buana Kubu yesterday at around 6pm, according to his wife, RS, 46, who is Indonesian.

RS said that GB, who worked as a chef at a local restaurant, kept coughing for about 10 minutes and fell unconscious. She then called the BIMC Hospital for help.

About an hour later, the ambulance came to their house. Sadly, the medical staff pronounced GB dead after trying to resuscitate him.

Denpasar Police spokesman Ketut Sukadi said that the victim had experienced headaches, trouble breathing, and chest pains a couple of days before his passing.

GB was also known to suffer from diabetes and hypertension and regularly take painkillers.

Sukadi added that the body has been transferred to the nearest hospital.
