A man from New Zealand has died in an accident in Bali, but reports have been lacking any real details surrounding his death.
The New Zealand Herald reports that off-road motorsport enthusiast Elliot MIllen was killed in Bali last weekend, while a number of Millen’s friends and family have taken to social media to pay him tribute.
A crowdfunding page on GiveALittle has been set up to help repatriate his body back to New Zealand. Over $11,000 has been raised as of writing time.
“Please don’t feel obligated to donate if you can’t afford to but any amount will be more than appreciated! Please hug your loved ones just that little bit longer and just that little bit tighter. Life is not measured in years, but in those we hold close around us, so from Elliot’s family and friends we thank you for your support,” the crowdfunding page’s description reads.
A NZ Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade spokesman confirmed that a kiwi has died in Bali and that officials are helping the family.
“The Ministry is aware of the death of a New Zealander in Bali.
“The New Zealand Embassy in Jakarta is providing consular assistance to the family.”
