After weeks of a vacant spot up at the top of the command of Bali’s finest, a new police chief was reportedly named on Friday.
Inspector General Sugeng Priyanto has been selected as Bali’s new highest ranking police official, reports Merdeka.
Priyanto replaces Inspector General Ronny F. Sompie after Sompie got his dream job—director of immigration.
Sompie checked out from his job leading Bali Police early last August, leaving Deputy Chief Brig. Gen. Nyoman Suryasta with limited authority in the position of acting police chief.
