A striking visual has gone viral of the Indonesian island of Bali, captured by an American astronaut aboard the International Space Station.

In the spectacular photo shot by Richard II “Ricky” Arnold and shared to his Instagram account on Saturday, Bali can be seen neatly positioned between it’s neighboring islands in the Indonesian archipelago: Java to the west and Lombok to the east.

The astronaut captioned the photo with a “selamat pagi” (good morning) to the country he “once called home”.

A Maryland native, Arnold has previously lived in Indonesia, in addition to Morocco and Saudi Arabia, according to his bio on NASA.

Arnold just shot up to the ISS on March 21 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan along with one other NASA astronaut, Drew Feustel, and Oleg Artemyev of Roscosmos, the Russian space agency.

Since arriving in space this time around, Arnold has posted other amazing shots of the Sea of Galilee and Australia and Papua New Guinea.
