More coverage around the search for eight-year-old Angeline continues to surface, though her whereabouts remain a mystery.
However, Tribun Bali has reported hints that the police may have leads on a particular individual suspected to know something about Angeline’s whereabouts. “There is information, but we’re not prepared to disclose it just yet,” the police reportedly told Tribun Bali on Friday.
Tribun Bali also stated that the police are investigating CCTV footages, particularly around the airport area to help them figure out whether Angeline is still somewhere on the island, or possibly taken by someone out of Bali.
Meanwhile, speculations around Angeline’s whereabouts continue. The shaman that conducted prayers and offerings for Angeline supposedly concluded that Angeline was “still somewhere around her house”, but was “borrowed by a supernatural creature,” reports Tribun Bali.
Tensions surrounding the domestic abuse allegations and Margareith’s (Angeline’s adopted mother) custody rights have also continued to intensify. According to Tribun Bali, Margareith refused to open her door when a lawyer for the Denpasar branch of the Center of Women and Children’s Empowerment Services (P2TP2A) paid a visit to her house earlier today. With regards to questions around Margareith’s allegedly un-kosher custody rights, Tribun Bali contacted the notary responsible for the adoption papers. She reportedly declined to give any information, saying that she hadn’t heard of the allegations surrounding the adoptions and she will have to check her documents before commenting further.
