Motorbike rider dies on road after falling from bike and tragically getting run over by truck in North Bali

A young man in North Bali was killed from an accident believed to have been caused by slippery road conditions.

Kadek Ananda Dipayana, 21, died on Jl. Raya Singaraja-Seririt, Temukus Village, Buleleng on Wednesday.

That afternoon, Tekumus Village was experiencing heavy rain, when Dipayana was driving a Honda Beat motorbike eastbound at about 2:50 pm at a high speed, according to Tribun Bali

That’s when Dipayana allegedly lost control of his motorbike because the road was slippery, swerved to the right, and fell on to the right side of the highway. Perhaps he would have survived, but suddenly a truck driving in the opposite direction hit Dipayana, injuring him critically.

Dipayana was reportedly rushed to Santhi Graha Seririt Hospital by local residents and motorists who happened to see the accident.

But it was too late—the young man reportedly succumbed to serious head injuries, Nyoman Sugianyar, chief of Buleleng Police’s traffic unit, told Tribun.

“Because of the negligence of the young motorbike rider, he could not control the motorbike, so he fell and a truck ran him over coming from the opposite direction,” Sugianyar explained.
