One might argue that pictures of tourists riding on scooters in Bali are really not that special, but what about when those tourists are none other than two of the top MotoGP racers in the world posing on rented scooters while wearing run-of-the-mill raincoats?

Spanish MotoGP racer Aleix Espargaró shared some snaps of him traveling in Bali yesterday on his IG account @aleixespargaro. Captioned, “Relax, fun, fruit, coffee, friends… What else? 🤙🏝️ #BaliVibes #HakunaMatata #Indonesia”, two of the pictures are selfies of him and his friends riding on scooters.

In one of the pics, Espargaró smiled from ear to ear with his two friends – one of them being fellow Spanish racer Jorge “Martinator” Martin. All three of them wore matching green raincoats (it has been raining cats and dogs in Bali) and seemed to be having a good time.

Fans and netizens were quick to notice the pictures and left lighthearted comments, finding them to be wholesome.

“Soon [we will see] an advertisement: For sale, orange scooter for IDR45 million (Aleix rode in it),” said @ichsantinurahmad.

Some commented on the raincoats, which are commonly sold locally with green ones often worn by app-based motorcycle taxi drivers.

“The raincoats are very down-to-earth!” said @tyna_depepshy.

Others appreciated the MotoGP pair enjoying Bali before the 2022 MotoGP Malaysia this weekend and wished them good luck.

Martin also shared some Bali pics on his Instagram account, including his time in Canggu and Ubud.

This is not the first time Espargaró shared the love with Indonesian fans. In March, he threw his helmet to the stands at the conclusion of the 2022 Mandalika MotoGP race in Lombok.

He had made the helmet toss promise if he reached 1 million followers. One fan caught the souvenir and, despite the flying helmet bumping into his head on the way, it definitely made his day.
