Missing Bangli girl was allegedly molested by kidnapper

In a disturbing development – a story has recently been published in Denpost about an abducted child from Bangli, containing eerily similar details to the story we reported on earlier this afternoon.

The Denpost story specifically omits the child’s real name – calling her “Bunga”, who was reported missing on Tuesday the 26th May. Denpost’s version of event is that the child was buying something in a warung on her way home from school, and she was approached by a stranger who was riding a white Honda Vario motorbike. The stranger reportedly forced her to get on the motorbike with him before rushing off to Kapten Mudita field.

At the field, the stranger purportedly stripped the little girl to just her top and underwear, and began molesting her. Fearful that people would witness his actions (particularly as the girl began to cry), he allegedly took her to an internet cafe in Kubu. The obscenities are said to have continued as the stranger made the girl watch a pornographic film before he bought her to a tennis court around Yayasan Guru Kula, in the Bangli area. He then continued to molest her in her underwear, before leaving her alone in the tennis court, according to Denpost’s report.

The little girl was eventually found by an elementary school teacher, who bought her to the Bangli police station straight away, claims the Denpost report.

Bangli police has yet to give final confirmation that they have caught the stranger who abducted this girl, saying that they are still conducting investigations on the accused, including the possibilities of other victims.

We suspect that the hush-hush nature of this incident may be linked strongly to the accused’s identity. When the police was asked whether the accused was the son of a pejabat (high-ranking government official) – he reportedly answered nervously, “it is possible that he is a pejabat‘s son”.
