Rainfall over the weekend has inundated parts of Bali this morning, as the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) also urged caution against coastal flooding across Bali beaches until at least Dec. 9.

“Based on examination of water levels and tidal predictions, flash floods could potentially happen in various areas of Bali’s coasts from Dec. 2 to 9,” Dwi Hartanto, an official from the local BMKG chapter, said yesterday.

These areas include Nusa Dua, Kuta, Kedonganan, Benoa, Sanur, Gianyar, Padang Bai, and Jembrana.

“The coastal floods are predicted to hit the different areas at different times,” Dwi said.

Heavy rainfall is also expected today across the province, with downpour over the weekend having hit hard a number of areas, including Badung, Gianyar, and Denpasar, since last night.
