A middle school student in Buleleng, North Bali is now in custody for allegedly taking a joy ride on a motorbike that was not his. But it was not a total stranger’s bike. In fact, the bike in question belongs to the 15-year-old’s friend’s father.
Looks like that father is going to tell his son to run with a different crowd from now on.
Made AM, from Les Village, Bali allegedly really wanted to have a motorbike that had been modified and even changed the paint color of the Honda Vario for racing, Municipal Police Ketut Relo Kusada told Tribun Bali.
In the Tejakula, Bali area, AM was apparently known for always winning races on the stolen bike of his friend’s father—almost every day he and his friends would ride the bike belonging to Gede Sembudiawan, 39, Kusada told Tribun on Monday.
AM was reportedly arrested on Saturday when instead of borrowing the bike, he tried to steal it with his friends with the goal of exchanging it for another motorbike. However, Sembudiawan noticed his bike was missing and immediately reported it to the police, who found AM on the same day.
AM admitted to stealing the bike for racing, Kusada said. He added that police will follow measures of pressing charges against the minor.
