A 57-year-old man in Mengwi was found dead from an apparent suicide by one of his neighbors in his garage today.

The lifeless body of IPP was first seen by Ni Komang Muliastiti, 36, who was taking her kid to a convenience store nearby around 10am and immediately called for help

It was suspected that he decided to end his life after having suffered prolonged illnesses.

“After receiving a report on a possible suicide case, the officers of the Mengwi Police immediately responded to the scene,” Mengwi Police Chief Comr. Nyoman Darsana told reporters.

IPP’s relatives and other residents worked together to carry his body.

“Preliminary information from [his] closest relatives suggests that the victim decided to end his life […] after suffering illnesses namely diabetes, gouty arthritis, and mild strokes,” he added.
