Man who hit 4 people in deadly Denpasar car accident had liquor in his car, but had surprising urine test results

A man who reportedly hit four people with his car yesterday in Denpasar was suspected of being under the influence.

However, even though police found liquor in I Gede Koyan Eka Putra’s Toyota Avanza, his urine test results have come back negative for drug and alcohol consumption, reports Tribun Bali

The bottle of liquor in the car was reportedly Black Label.

This seems to be the case where the excuse, “I’m just keeping the liquor for my friend,” isn’t an excuse, but it’s the actual situation.

Upon further examination, police in Denpasar told Tribun Bali that the Black Label belonged to Putra’s friend, the owner of the car.

The 49-year-old Balinese man reportedly caused a deadly accident yesterday at Jl. Bypass  Prof Ida Bagus Mantra in Denpasar yesterday morning around 8 am. The accident left one person dead, one in critical condition, and two people with minor injuries.

While his tests have shown him to be clean, Putra has admitted to police that he was drowsy when the accident occurred.
