Man gets caught in Bali with meth hidden under his big toe

Indonesia’s drug laws are harsh, with a maximum sentence of death for trafficking, but some people are just determined to have their drugs.

A man was interrogated yesterday in Tabanan, Bali and is now charged with a 12 year penalty in prison for carrying meth.

I Pande Kadek Adi Pusmawan, alias Klepus was allegedly carrying out drug transactions at a perumahan in Banjar Sema, Kediri, Tabanan. Residents reportedly tipped off police, who made the arrest on Monday at around 1:30 pm.

“Once we caught him, we searched the perp’s body directly and found a package of methamphetamine, said Narcotics Police Surya Atmaja, as quoted by Tribun Bali

The 31-year-old had apparently stored the meth under the big toe of his left foot in his sandal.

“The goal was to fool the officers, so the evidence was stored there,” Atmaja said. Looks like nothing gets past him.

Evidence confiscated from the scene reportedly weighs 0.3 grams.

Police plan on investigating this meth dealing network further to uncover more people mixed up in the Bali drug trade.
