Malaysian arrested at Bali Airport with meth hidden in tissue

A Malaysian man has been taken into custody by Bali narcotics agents and customs officers at Ngurah Rai International Airport.

The Malaysian, identified in reports by initials SBMS, 39, came to Bali on Feb. 4 with AirAsia flight AK 374.

It turns out the guy apparently didn’t do the best job of concealing his meth.

After landing, 0.11 grams of methamphetamine stored in a clear glass pipe, wrapped in white tissue, was allegedly found with SBMS.

Head of the Bali division of the National Narcotics Agency, Brig. Gen. Putu Gede Suastawa said the Malaysian only brought the meth to Bali for personal use, apparently not for distribution.

“He (SBMS) is a lone actor, only a user,” Suastawa said on Monday, as quoted by Tribun Bali
