A Slovakian national was found dead yesterday morning in Sanur, with Bali police now investigating a lone suspect in the possible murder case.

The 29-year-old victim, identified as AS, was found covered in blood with a stab wound on her neck. Officers from the South Denpasar sub-precinct have arrested a 30-year-old Indonesian man, who was reportedly the victim’s ex-boyfriend, although this detail has yet to be confirmed by authorities at the time of publication.

According to reports, the suspected culprit, identified as LP, got into a fight with the victim before the stabbing. Police also found a possible murder weapon at the scene.

The victim was found lying dead on her kitchen floor after a friend came to visit her, the discovery of which was promptly reported to the police.

The chief of the South Denpasar sub-precinct, Citra F Rahmadani, said that AS broke up with her boyfriend three weeks ago, adding that the victim had been living at her Sanur home for a year.
