Lee Wilson comes out on top at Red Bull Night Riders pro surfing comp in Canggu

Eight pro surfers boldly competed at Pantai Berawa on Saturday evening for the Red Bull Night Riders event at the new Finns Beach Club, but it was Lee Wilson who took it all.

Each surfer was given 10 minutes in the opening round to try and score a big wave in style. They were then given five minutes to try and improve their scores on the second round, according to Inilah

Surfers competing included Dedi Gun, Lee Wilson, Bronson Meidy, Dede Suryana, Raju Sena, and Lempog Jackson from Indonesia, and Kipp Caddy and Jake Vincent from Australia.

The prize wasn’t peanuts, that’s for sure—Wilson walked out with a check for Rp 15 juta for his badass night surfing.

Though he didn’t win and wasn’t as smooth as Wilson, at 12 years old, Bronson Meidy also apparently killed it and captured the crowd’s hearts. Meidy wound up getting third place, while second went to Kuta surfer Raju Sena.

About 3,000 people reportedly attended the event, which was closed by DJ Karve, hailing from France.
