Lampung man arrested in Jimbaran with over 60 grams of meth

Denpasar Narcotics Police arrested a man from Lampung in Jimbaran on Friday with a pretty hefty amount of meth.

Yul, 35, was arrested in the parking area of an Indomaret convenience store on Jl. Bypass Ngurah Rai.

The alleged courier had 17 packages of meth with a net weight of 64.78 grams and police also reportedly found evidence in the form of eight more small packages of meth, a electric scale, a bong, two empty plastic packets, and two lighters.

Police say they’re deepening their investigation to uncover the people that the man was working with.

“Based on his confession, he has already spent six months in Bali after he came from Lampung. He (the suspect) was facilitated by a man with the initial, Y. Now we are chasing ‘Y,’” Denpasar Narcotics Police Chief Gede Ganefo told Tribun Bali on Sunday.
