Kuta Police deepen investigation of rampage involving biker group Satu Darah that sent 2 to hospital

Police are hunting down members of an international motorcycle club responsible for a violent rampage at a Kuta nightclub on Monday night that left two injured.

Hundreds of members of the biker group Satu Darah (One Blood) had been out partying on Monday at Boshe. Some moved over to Pyramid on Jl. Dewi Sri, where things apparently got out of hand—members of the organization allegedly kicked down motorbikes in the street and clashed with nightclub personnel.

Kuta Police say they have already found two complicit members of Satu Darah, but they are far from finished and are only deepening their investigation.

“We have already bagged two from their group. They were local too, not all foreigners. Please don’t make a scene, this will affect our tourism,” one member of Kuta Police’s Criminal Unit told Merdeka

Pyramid has been designated as a crime scene, CCTV footage from the club has been taken for review, and police have been interviewing Pyramid’s management and staff over the incident.

A Dutch member of Satu Darah and an Indonesian security guard have been identified as the two injuries parties from the incident.

Police have said a clash between nightclub personnel and the biker group is what triggered the mayhem, when Satu Darah members where not ready to leave the closing club.

“They protested, saying they still wanted to have drinks. They then engaged in vandalism. One of them threw an iron bar at a glass door, so it was completely shattered,” Denpasar Police chief Sr. Comr.Hadi Purnomo.

But the injured Dutch man, whose name has not been released, had another version of events and told the Jakarta Post from BIMC that they were attacked.

“Our group members just wanted to have a party, but we were attacked. So we defended ourselves.”

Seems like that CCTV footage would sure be useful right about now!
