Korean badminton superstar Lee Yong-dae ready for Super League in Bali

Just wander around any kampung to realize that Indonesians are nuts for badminton (which is only second to football, by the way). Wander around a middle school or high school and hangout with the tween and teens and you will also realized Indonesians are wild about Koreans.

So you can only imagine badminton-playing Koreans are wildly popular here.

With the Djarum Super League set in Denpasar this year, Bali will see Korean badminton doubles superstar Lee Yong-dae.

The tournament will mbe held at Denpasar’s Lila Bhuana Sports Hall starting next Sunday, January 25, until February 1.

“I’ve been to Indonesia many times, competing in top-level tournaments like the Indonesian Open Superseries. And the crowd is amazing. Coming here to play in the Superliga for the first time is very exciting. And I’m looking forward to playing in Bali, of course,” Yong-dae said, as quoted by Fox Sports

Lee Yong-dae has proven he’s not just a pretty face on the badminton court with his history of high rankings:
