Klungkung police now required to wear gloves when handling victims

Police in Bali’s Klungkung regency are reportedly now obliged to use gloves in order to avoid direct contact when handling victims—whether victims from accidents or crimes.

This is to avoid contamination of various diseases, reports Tribun Bali

As of Wednesday, gloves were distributed to Klungkung police personnel across all ranks.

The regency’s police chief,  FX Arendra Wahyudi, explained that this way, police won’t awkwardly hesitate to help bleeding victims, or if they need to take a body.

You would think requiring gloves when police are handling victims would already be a thing, but at least they’re getting with the glove program now.
